Simon White FORE!!!!!..... Longest Day Golf Challenge 4 local businessmen, 4 balls, 4 golf courses, 4 hours each round, 4 very average golfers, 4am start. Why? To raise money 4 people less 4tunate.
Yes that’s right on June 21st four local businessmen will be taking part in the " Longest Day Golf Challenge" organised by the Macmillan Cancer Support in the hope of raising £5,000 for this most deserving cause.
Simon White (Enhanced), James Samson (Samson Print), Warren Munson (Inspire) and David Hole (Norris & Fisher/Inspire Financial Services) are attempting to play four, 18 hole rounds of golf in just one day.
This will entail teeing off at 4am and playing their final shots, after 72 holes at around 10pm. The four golfers will walk over 20 miles, over four different courses, each round lasting approx 4 hours. Make no mistake; this will be a tough challenge, mentally, logistically and physically!!
The first round will be fun, the second testing and tiring, by the time they tee off for the third round they will be certainly be feeling the pain and when they eventually tee off at around 6pm for the final round, they will be exhausted, feet, backs, shoulders, and brains will be seizing up!!! No doubt some of them will be crawling along the final fairways!! But all in a good cause!
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. One in three of us will get cancer. Two million of us are living with it. We are all affected by cancer.
